Gavin Berkley is a leadership and performance coach with a background in high-performance teams, endurance-based leadership, and organizational development.

A former U.S. Army Infantry Officer with Ranger and Airborne qualifications, Gavin has led teams in both domestic and international environments, developing a deep understanding of how discipline, resilience, and clarity of purpose drive individual and organizational success.

Originally from western Pennsylvania, Gavin’s foundation was built on community, family, and a relentless work ethic. As a standout student-athlete, he wrestled at the NCAA Division I level for the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he developed his belief that “hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.” That mindset—shaped through athletics, leadership, and personal adversity—now informs his approach to helping others perform at their best.

Gavin has worked with individuals and teams across varied settings to strengthen leadership culture, embrace discomfort as a growth tool, and cultivate the mental and physical endurance necessary to thrive in challenging environments. He believes that true strength lies in the ability to endure, adapt, and remain grounded in values—especially when pressure is high.

As a member of Beyond the Trek, Gavin applies his operational experience, athletic background, and leadership insights to help organizations and individuals become more focused, resilient, and impactful.

He is a firm believer that the challenges we face—personally and professionally—are not obstacles, but opportunities to forge better versions of ourselves for those who depend on us.
